Nacton C of E Primary School

Limitless Learning Nurtured by our Christian Ethos

Our Church School

The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. This encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all our pupils. Recognising our historic foundation, the school preserves and develops our religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England and in partnership with the church at parish and diocesan level.

Religious Education

The school follows the locally agreed Emmanuel Project syllabus in teaching RE. This is concerned with fostering an understanding of Christianity and other faiths or beliefs. We aim to develop a loving, caring attitude to each other and respect for the environment in which we live.

The Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich

The Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich work very closely with all of the Church of England primary schools in Suffolk. They run regular training and conferences for staff and provide support in the delivery of collective worship and the teaching of Religious Education. We work closely with the Education Team at the Diocese to ensure high quality church values and education are maintained.

We are lucky to be within walking distance of St Martin’s Church. This enables us to hold a numbers of services there throughout the year and also for us to use the church as a learning environment.
