Welcome to our Thrive page! Our Thrive journey has just begun!
Why Thrive?
We use The Thrive Approach to develop healthy social and emotional skills to enable all children to gain confidence, build self-esteem and resilience.
Thrive promotes positive mental health and emotional well-being in children and young people by teaching adults how to be and what to do, in response to children’s differing and sometimes challenging behaviour, providing targeted strategies and activities to help them re-engage with life and learning.
At Nacton, our Thrive practitioners deliver 1:1 and small group sessions. Our teachers also embed Thrive based activities within their classrooms so all children benefit from the whole school approach.
The strategies and activities we use are specifically targeted to certain areas of development based on the outcome of assessments carried out on the Thrive portal. These activities may include painting, art and craft, playdough, biscuit decorating, Lego, board games, Jenga and also communication and team building tasks.
If you have any concerns regarding your child please get in touch with the school.
