Our House Teams
Upon joining our school, every child at Nacton is assigned a house team. These teams are named after local rivers: Deben, Orwell, Stour and Gipping.
Each team is led by a Year 6 House Captain.
House Captains were elected by their house peers after a period where each led their own election campaign. It was another way of seeing democracy in action!
House teams join together at times of celebration. We race each other at sports day and help support each other during reading across the school.
We also collect house points for learning and behavioural challenges and announce the winner each week and each term.
It is also another way we get to know and support each other across our small school.
