We hope you enjoy seeing the latest events and news happening in our school.
The whole school had a chance to try the sport Curling today. There was much fun had by all, including great cheers when stones were were place or knocked out!
The whole school had a brilliantly fun afternoon learning a new dance. They all had a chance to use the parasols in the dance and to become part of a dragon dance!
Today our Guardians of the Planet helped the local community by planting some new hedging and also a new tree, a Field Maple, on Victoria Field.
All of our pupils were amazing in the Key Stage 1/Reception and Key Stage 2 Carol Services at St Martin’s Church. As always the singing was phenomenal and the bible readings by Year 6 were delivered with confidence.
It was lovely to see the Nativity pictures that the classes had made for the church on display.
Advent is nearly upon us. This is a period of reflection and preparation for the celebration of the birth of Jesus. At Nacton we enjoy using this time to give ourselves an extra challenge. This year our challenge is to try to make a 'small change, big difference' to help our planet. To take part, children need to record their small changes daily on their Advent Challenge Sheet. After the Christmas holidays, they need to bring it back into school to receive their certificate.
To celebrate Children in Need, we had a 'Heroes Day'. The children were invited to dress up as a hero, any kind of hero, for the day. We had such an amazing range of costumes. There were lots of super heroes, we even had four Spidermen in Lions Class! We also had some other types of heroes, including; Captain Tom Moore, Charles Darwin, doctors, nurses, mums, dads, siblings and friends.
Well done to all of the children, and parents, for these amazing outfits. We've had a great day and managed to raise over £150 for BBC Children in Need in the process.
