Guidance for Parents and Carers

Following the Government’s announcement on Sunday that schools will be opening for reception, year 1 and year 6 pupils from 1st June (at the earliest) the DfE have published guidance for parents and carers. Please see the link below.

Schools have also been given guidance documents, and we will shortly receive further guidance from the Local Authority and our Academy Trust. Please be reassured that we will be following guidance to do our utmost to make the school as safe an environment as we can for our pupils, staff and families.

Ofsted report

‘Pupils at this school are exceptionally happy and well cared for. They are enthusiastic about everything they do in school.’

‘Staff have very positive relationships with the pupils in their care. Every adult knows every pupil’

‘Personal development of the pupils is prioritised. The work beyond the main curriculum goes above and beyond what would be normal for a school of this size.’

‘The attitudes of the pupils towards their learning are excellent. Those who need help to manage their behaviour are very well supported and staff use their close knowledge of the pupils to enable all to succeed.’

These are just a few of our favourite quotes from our Ofsted report. Click on the link below to read the full report.

Tigers’ Yoga

Tiger’s Class had their first yoga session today. All of the yoga moves were linked to a story. All of the children had great fun and listened really carefully to Mrs Harris. Well done Tigers!

Election results…

Lions, Leopards and Jaguars classes all held elections for the School Council and Guardians of the Planet teams. Each candidate gave a speech to explain why their class should vote for them. The teachers were very impressed with the confidence that all the candidates demonstrated when giving their speeches.

We are delighted to announce that this year’s school councillors are: Zach, Ella, Scarlett, Emilia, Isabella and Connie.  Our Guardians of the Planet team this year includes: Orin, Ethan, Ava, Maggie, Tianna and Tamzin.

Anglo-Saxon Museum

Well done to ‘Leopards’ who put on an amazing museum for their parents/carers/families. There was an amazing turn out of visitors and the children thoroughly enjoyed sharing their learning. Click here to see more.
