Christmas Decoration Workshop 30th November 2018

Parents and carers are invited to join us for an afternoon of Christmas decoration making on Friday 30th November at 1.15pm. The children will have an opportunity to make four different decorations which will decorate the school before being taken home at the end of term. This proved to be great fun last year, and is fast becoming a Nacton Christmas tradition.

Good Luck!

Good luck to our netball and football teams who are playing a match against Bealings Primary School this afternoon. A report from the teams will follow soon.

BBC Children in Need 2018

Pudsey and Blush have visited Nacton! We have had great fun raising money for BBC Children in Need by wearing our favourite colours to school and baking cakes for the Great Nacton Bake Off. Our assembly taught us about why we raise money and what BBC Children in Need do with the money they raise.

WWI centenary

Thank you to all of the parents who were able to join us for our special Celebration assembly on Friday 9th November. The Year 5 and 6’s recited Flander’s Field, and the whole school sang ‘We Will Remember’. The Year 5 and 6 pupils have been writing poems about WWI in their English lessons, these have been copied into a book with donations to The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. Their poems are also displayed around school along with the poppies they have drawn in Art.

Harry, Year 2, represented the school on Sunday 11th November by laying the wreath on the village’s war memorial.
